Using Nomu without signal
Last updated on
What Nomu can do without a connection, and what still needs one.
Nomu is built to stay useful offline after you have used it online: what you have already opened is kept on your device, so a plane, a tunnel or a foreign SIM does not empty the app.
What usually works
- Opening the app and reading trips and places you have already loaded.
- Anything already on the device from your last online session.
What still needs a connection
- Map tiles you have not looked at yet.
- Searching for new places, which asks the server.
- A fresh install with no online session yet—there is nothing stored to read.
If the app looks empty offline
Get back online for a moment and open your trips list once, so the app has something current to keep. Then try again without signal.
